Meet the Dentist

Dr. Van Strait and his wife, Julia, are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in dentistry and have attended at least four national educational meetings every year for the past twenty-five years. Every day, they bring to work over thirty years’ experience plus a strong commitment to excellence. Their practice is a family business, and their patients are like an extended part of the family. The Straits’ commitment to patient education makes everyone an insider.

Dr. Strait is a life-long Connecticut resident. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Connecticut. Following graduate studies in bacteriology, he earned his D.D.S. degree at Temple University. Dr Strait says:

The reason we decided to practice dentistry in Wilton and Bethel, Connecticut, is because we love the area and the people of Fairfield County – not only Wilton and Bethel, but Ridgefield, New Canaan, Weston, Redding, Redding Ridge, Georgetown, Westport, Newtown and Stepney. The area is so very much like the childhood town where I grew up. Also, by having two practices, we can offer more hours, better after-hours care, and more diverse services.
